RECIPE : Sweet Bread a.k.a Roti Manis


Dari dulu nyari resep roti manis biar mirip roti2 di Asian Bread store ngga nemu-nemu yang pas.
2-3 tahun ada kali nyari-nya..
Akhirnya nemu resep ini.. 
Seneng bangettt!!!!

Gampang pula bikinnya..
Pake Bread Maker :-)

Ingredients

Water Roux (TangZhong)
For 2 recipes
1/3 Cup Flour
1 Cup Water/Milk

Bread Dough
2 1/2 Cups Bread Flour
4 tbs Sugar
1/2 tsp Salt
2 tsp Instant Yeast
1 Egg qt room temperature
4 tbsp Butter
(Cut into small pieces and put inside the warm milk)
1/2 Cup Milk, Warm
Half Recipe TangZhong

Instructions :

Tangzhong

Mix flour in Water/Milk so you don't have any lumps. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring consistently with a wooden spoon , whisk or patula to prevent burning and sticking while you cook it.

The mixture becomes thicker and thicker.. similar to creme patisserie (thin pudding like). Remove from the heat.

The TangZhong can be used straight away once it cool down to room temperature. If making only one recipe, the leftover TangZhong can be stored in fridge up to 3 days.

Bread Dough
-BreadMaker-

Put the dry ingredients into the bread maker first and mix until it combined.

Put Egg, TangZhong, Warm Milk+Butter

Setting the Bread Maker into "Dough Only"

After it finished (1 hour 30 mins) you can form the rolls or whatever bread you like.

I made Sausage Roll, Dinner Rolls, Banana Roll.
